New David Rockefeller BCA pARTnership Award
Americans for the Arts announced today that the David Rockefeller Fund will invest in a four-year presenting sponsorship of the new David Rockefeller BCA pARTnership Award. Given annually, the award will honor a company and arts organization (or artist) for an exceptional project, program, or initiative that represents a true alliance, collaboration, or exchange between the two.

Americans for the Arts has also issued an open national call for nominations for the pARTnership Award. Nominations will close on February 9 and Americans for the Arts will notify the awardee selected by a panel in May. The award will be presented at the BCA 10 gala in New York City on October 2, 2018. The BCA 10 awards recognize 10 U.S. companies of all sizes for their exceptional involvement with the arts that enrich the workplace, education, and the community.

“I thank the trustees of the David Rockefeller Fund. This contribution will expand upon and extend David Rockefeller Sr.’s legacy as the founder of the Business Committee for the Arts [BCA], and uphold the belief in the power of arts-based partnerships to transform lives, communities, and our nation,” said Robert L. Lynch, president and CEO of Americans for the Arts.

“The trustees and staff of the Fund are delighted to partner with Americans for the Arts in this way. David Rockefeller believed that businesses, as well as foundations and donors, had a major role to play in sustaining the arts in a vibrant society. We look forward to celebrating such extraordinary partnerships,” said Lukas Haynes, Executive Director of the David Rockefeller Fund.

Founded in 1967, Americans for the Arts’ BCA aims to encourage, inspire, and stimulate businesses to support the arts in the workplace, in education, and in the community. The work of the BCA encompasses visibility, advocacy, research, professional development, and training. The pARTnership movement is founded on the core eight reasons for business to partner with the arts, and encourages business to partner with the arts to foster the development of more creative workers and more creative companies.

Americans for the Arts is the leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education in America. With offices in Washington, D.C. and New York City, it has a record of more than 55 years of service. Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
