The BCA 10 honors and recognizes the best businesses partnering with the arts in America. From sponsoring free outdoor concert series and arts festivals to hosting art galleries and arts programming onsite at their workplaces to providing pro-bono skills-based volunteers services and board leadership, this year’s honoree companies are true champions of arts support. These businesses not only enrich the communities in which they serve, but engage their employees and add value to their business environments through the arts. They deserve not only to be recognized, but celebrated and revered!
The following are just a few ways our past BCA 10 winners have celebrated the award in their own communities:
In Hartford, the Greater Hartford Arts Council re-presented the awards to United Technologies Corporation and Northeast Utilities at their annual Big Red for the Arts event. Americans for the Arts President and CEO Robert L. Lynch attended the event to honor these two companies.
The Governor of Oregon proclaimed November 10 to be PGE Day to celebrate Portland General Electric’s award.
The Northwest Business for Culture & the Arts re-presented the award to Portland General Electric at the BCA Breakfast of Champions.
Strata-G started a dedicated funding program for two new arts programs in honor of The BCA 10.
- The Lakeland Arts Theater dedicated a performance to BCA 10 honoree Halifax EMC.
