Give a Note Foundation, a leading nonprofit dedicated to supporting and strengthening music education programs, has established a partnership with 21st Century Fox which will support 20 under-funded music education programs across the country.
The partnership was inspired by the TV series GLEE, which aired its series finale on Friday, March 20. GLEE has ignited a new interest in school music programs, and 21st Century Fox is pleased to support its audiences. Give a Note Foundation and 21st Century Fox previously partnered for the 2011 GLEE Give a Note campaign, awarding 73 schools nationwide grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 to help save struggling music programs. The program regularly engages the business community to play a critical role in resource development and awareness raising activities that improve access to music education.
Shira Oberlander, Director of Social Impact for 21st Century Fox said, “Over the past 6 years, GLEE has inspired generations of viewers to recognize the vital importance of arts education and demand music programs in their schools. We are thrilled to celebrate that legacy, and we could not be more proud of the work the cast, crew, and creative team have done to promote music education on their remarkable show.”
