Behind the Movement

The pARTnership Movement is an initiative from Americans for the Arts to reach business leaders with the message that partnering with the arts can build their competitive advantage. Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America.

The BCA Executive Board

Americans for the Arts’ private sector work is assisted by the support of the Business Committee for the Arts Executive Board, a group of business leaders that provide insight and support on key initiatives including messaging, advocacy and strategic alliances within the private sector.

Congratulations! You’ve partnered with the arts. Your employees are inspired and invigorated. They’ve learned new ways to creatively solve problems. And your company is at a new level of creative nirvana!

Now’s the time to take your partnership to the next level. Here are a few things you can do.

Want to help your local business community build its capacity to partner with the arts? Through our local pARTnership Movement workshop program, Americans for the Arts can come directly to you and your community to help you get started.

Our 1 and 3 hour workshops are customizable depending on the audience and its interests, covering a range of topics including arts and business 101, relationship building, employee engagement, and program building. We can also focus on a group’s special interest area, such as partnering with the arts to further arts education, economic development, or arts advocacy efforts in a community.

Whether your audience is artists, arts administrators, local business leaders, or a combination of all three, Americans for the Arts is ready and willing to lead a workshop in your community! Contact Jordan Shue for more information.
