We trust your arts and business partnership was profitable for everyone involved. If so, don't keep it to yourself!

Behind the Movement

The pARTnership Movement is an initiative from Americans for the Arts to reach business leaders with the message that partnering with the arts can build their competitive advantage. Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America.

The BCA Executive Board

Americans for the Arts’ private sector work is assisted by the support of the Business Committee for the Arts Executive Board, a group of key business leaders that provide insight and support on key initiatives including messaging, advocacy and strategic alliances within the private sector.

Private Sector Council

The Private Sector Council of Americans for the Arts provides advice and guidance on the design and execution of programs and services that  advance private sector support for the arts in America.

Find a Partner

Ready to get started? Use our zip code locator to find a local arts organization in your community.

Congratulations! You’ve partnered with the arts. Your employees are inspired and invigorated. They’ve learned new ways to creatively solve problems. And your company is at a new level of creative nirvana!

Now’s the time to take your partnership to the next level! Here are a few things you can do.

Create an “Arts Values” Pledge

Let your employees know where you stand – and why you believe working with the arts is so important. Post the pledge on your company’s intranet, employee newsletter, annual report or other places where you can spread the message about how the arts have helped your business.

Prepare a Podcast or Video

Let your employees and peers know what you’re up to! Podcasts and Flip Cam videos are a great way to interview those in your company who implement (and benefit from) arts partnerships.

Create an Arts Experience

Create an arts experience for your next board meeting. This could range from bringing in your current arts partner to perform for the board or help with a team-building exercise. Contact us for more information.

Write a Letter to the Editor

Write a letter to the editor or an op-ed in your local paper about why you support the arts. Click here for some helpful letter-writing tips.

Meet With Leaders

Meet with the leaders of your trade association or chamber of commerce to share the message about the value of partnering with the arts.

Nominate Your Business

Nominate your business for our BCA 10 – if you’ve found your partnership to be a success, tell us about it. Past BCA 10 honorees include Adobe Systems, Time Warner Inc., Deutsche Bank, The Boeing Company and many more companies, both large and small. See the complete list of recent honorees here.
